Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data we handle when you use leisurecrete.gr and when you book with us directly.

On this website

No forms, no accounts. The website does not ask for your name, email or phone. If you call or write to us, we use what you send only to answer you and to handle your stay.
Your cookie choice is stored in one essential cookie (see the cookie policy).
Anonymous booking statistics. When you search for dates or click a “Book” button, we count it: the property, the dates and number of guests you searched for, the page, the language, the country (from the connection, not your exact location) and whether you used a phone or a computer. We do not store your IP address or anything that identifies you. We use these counts to understand demand.
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) runs only if you accept analytics cookies. It measures visits and how the site is used. IP addresses are shortened by Google.
Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd.) loads only after you accept cookies or tap “Show the map”.
Other services the page loads without cookies: satellite map images from Esri, and our own solar-panel and weather figures. These receive your IP address as part of any web request, as any website you visit does.
Hosting: the website runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site.

When you book

Bookings are made in our booking engine, provided by WebHotelier (reserve-online.net). There you give the details needed for your reservation (name, contact details, payment details). WebHotelier processes them on our behalf, under its own privacy notice, which is shown during booking. We use your booking details to manage your stay, to meet our legal and tax obligations, and to contact you about your reservation.

If you book through Booking.com, Airbnb or another platform, that platform’s privacy policy applies to the data you give them.

Before your stay

Before you arrive, we send you pre-arrival emails and, where available, an online check-in form. These are handled on our behalf by Hotelizer, which receives your booking details and the information you enter in the check-in form, including your passport or ID details. We ask for these because accommodation providers in Greece must record the identity of their guests; we use them only for that record, to prepare your arrival and stay, and to meet our legal obligations, and we keep them only as long as the law requires.

If you sign up for our newsletter or offers (for example on this website, during booking, or at the property), we use your email address, and your name and language if you give them, only to send you news and offers from Leisure Crete and its properties. We do this only with your consent; signing up is never a condition of booking. Every newsletter email always contains a link to unsubscribe in one click. The newsletter is sent on our behalf through Resend (Resend Inc.), with data stored in the European Union (Ireland). We may count whether emails are opened or links clicked, to improve them.

How long we keep data

Booking, check-in and invoicing records: as long as Greek law requires. Anonymous statistics: they contain no personal data. Analytics data (if you accepted): 14 months. Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
